TAROTSCOPES | JUNE 17 - JUNE 23

DAUGHTER OF WANDS

Sitting deep in the thick of change can be disorienting. Isn’t always comfortable. Often has us questioning how we got into a wild situation and how on earth we’ll get ourselves out. As human beings with swift minds, we will do anything to distract ourselves from discomfort. We pull away from pain, hiding as if on principle. We fight with our own frustration, shoving away pieces of ourselves we don’t want to look at. But if we want to be truly intelligent, to align ourselves with our most passion-driven lives, we must sit long enough to see what’s stirring. You can’t cut away the right elements if you don’t know what they are.

This week is arguably the most difficult week of astrological transits in 2019. Mercury and Mars are traveling together in Cancer, opposing Saturn, the South Node and Pluto respectively. Oppositions require us to confront discomfort. Want us to choose one direction over another. This astrology acts like a magnet, pulling you back to whatever internal problem wants you to address it. Wherever you go, there you are. Abandoning situations because they are uneasy will not help you escape your karma - emphasis on your karma. Each and every person right now is undergoing some metamorphosis, whether they know it or not. Mercury and Mars together with the North Node ask us to focus on actions that uplift your sense of security and self-compassion while Saturn, Pluto and the South Node demand that you address your emotions like a healthy adult. Remember, metamorphosis is a complete transformation - as in you can’t go back. Refusing to witness yourself while you shift can make or break your outcome.

The Daughter of Wands is a wondrous ally under this astrology. She is a reminder that evolution often comes in phases and cycles. She teaches us that time is not in our control but that we can activate our passion within the present. Even when you are lost, even when you are aimless, depressed or distraught, you are still capable of staying with yourself. You can still offer solace. You can remember that the work is not in the past or the future but right here. That doing the work will inspire the world to work on you. That if you don’t know how you got into this situation, you might still get out and be bewildered by your own mystery but that doesn’t mean you won’t make it. Trust in the flow even when you’re stuck. Stay with yourself even when it seems strange. Especially when your struggling. Smile when you see some kind of miracle because you lingered and left yourself just a little bit open enough to receive it.

WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
