TAROTSCOPE | OCTOBER 28 - NOVEMBER 3

II OF PENTACLES

We often think of the Two of Pentacles as an invitation to juggle different things on our plate. Whenever a two appears, we are dealing with duality, which is inherently, a significator of consciousness. It is the recognition of a relationship. It’s important to consider that while pentacles represent earth energy, this juggle is not always material. It’s not necessarily about needing to hold two physical things at the same time. It’s not the act of making room for one thing by physically removing another, though this may be part of our process.

More likely, the Two of Pentacles guides us to change the way we relate to material things so that we can make healthier decisions about what gets to stay and what has got to go. So we can enjoy the interplay. So we can understand that simultaneous might mean at the same time but not in the same place. Pentacles are simply the manifestation of spirit on the material plane. When we understand this, the two helps us  accept that time is a continuum. It is infinite and finite, defined by its circular nature. That what is happening in the moment is also happening ten years from now and vice versa, distinguished only by the structure our mind builds to organize it. The juggler who handles these pentacles is completely absorbed in their flight. In the spinning nature of the disk. Is choosing to relate to anything that arrives as if it were fact because it is. Is making a decision to accept reality as it presents itself, in the moment and ever-changing.

This card, like many of the Pentacles, engages our capacity for appreciation. Instead of worrying about how you might manage getting groceries and going to class and needing to make that meeting, you might spend time noticing all the abundance that allows you to do these things. You might value the ability your body does have. You might revel in the notion that you get to choose what you eat and that this choice can be a joy rather than a burden. You might be grateful for the opportunity to facilitate change if you are the one stepping up or you might find value in the space where you get to relax and listen. Change the way you think about a thing, a task, a situation or a person and you change its entire role in your life. This is an incredible power that should all at once be tendered and taken very lightly.

This week, enjoy the chores and the hiccups. Revel in every delay. Admire the ability you need (and have) for tasks big and small. Remember that having lots to accomplish is an issue of abundance. The antidote to anxiety might just be awe. The medicine might just be being with the work. Wondering in it. Fill every function of your life with a wish. See your business as a blessing. Do your duty as if it were an act of devotion. Approach your problems as if they are an answer to your prayers. As if they are pleas where you find peace. Occupy yourself with the ease that comes from acting into right-sized thinking and feeling without having to think about it.

WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
